Google Calendar
BetaConnect Google Calendar so BrightMind can plan around what's already on your day and create events for you from chat or voice.
What it does
Once Google Calendar is connected, BrightMind sees the events on your day and uses them when it suggests times, plans your week, or sets reminders — it won’t double-book you. You can also ask it to create, move, or delete events directly from a conversation; it will check for conflicts before it writes anything.
Status — Beta
Google Calendar is currently allowlist-only while Google reviews the BrightMind app. If the calendar tile in Settings shows a Beta tag, the integration is still gated for you.
To request access, open the app, go to Settings → Calendar, and submit the email addresses you want to be able to sign in with. We’ll allowlist them and notify you in the app (and at the addresses you submitted) when you can connect.
Multiple Google accounts
BrightMind supports more than one Google account on the same login. You might connect Personal and Work side by side, give each a label, and turn either one on or off without disconnecting it.
When you ask the assistant about your day, it checks all enabled accounts at once. If you mention a specific account by name (“my work calendar”, “Personal”), it routes to that one; otherwise it queries everything in a single step.
What the assistant can do
- Show what’s on your day or week, across every connected account.
- Find open slots (e.g. “when am I free this afternoon?”).
- Create new events, with location, attendees, and reminders.
- Move or update existing events, including recurring ones.
- Cancel events and respond to invitations.
Anything destructive (delete, mass-update) goes through a confirmation step in the conversation before it touches your calendar.
Privacy & permissions
BrightMind requests Google’s calendarscope so it can read and write events on the accounts you connect. We don’t use the data for ads, we don’t sell it, and no human at BrightMind reads your calendar content except for support or abuse investigation.
You can disconnect any account at any time from Settings → Calendar — disconnecting revokes the tokens immediately on our side. See our privacy policy for the full retention and deletion story.
