Share anything into BrightMind
From almost any app, send a link, a screenshot, a photo, or some text straight into BrightMind, then ask it to summarize, turn it into a task, or just hold onto it. The closest thing to capturing from anywhere.
What sharing does
Whenever you tap Sharein another app, BrightMind shows up as a place to send things. What you send lands in a conversation, with whatever note you add, and from there BrightMind can act on it: pull out the gist, make a task, set a reminder, or simply keep it so it’s not lost in a browser tab. It’s the fastest way to get something out of your head, or off another screen, and into BrightMind without stopping to open the app and retype it.
How to share
On iPhone or iPad
- In any app, tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- In the row of apps, tap BrightMind. If you don’t see it, scroll the row to the end and tap More to find it.
- BrightMind opens with your content attached. Add a note if you want, then send.
On Android
- In any app, tap Share.
- Choose BrightMindfrom the share sheet. You can usually tap the pin or “favorite” on it so it stays near the top next time.
- BrightMind opens with your content attached. Add a note if you want, then send.
What you can send
- Links and text: an article, a message, a quote, an address, anything you can select and share.
- Images: a screenshot of an email or a poster, a photo of a flyer or a whiteboard, or a picture from your camera roll.
- Files: documents and other attachments up to 25 MB each.
Before it sends, you can add a note or a question alongside what you shared, so BrightMind knows what you want done with it. Video isn’t supported yet, so video files won’t attach.
What to ask once it's in
Sharing is most useful when you tell BrightMind what you want from it. A few that work well:
- Share an article and ask “give me the short version.”
- Share a screenshot of an email and ask “what do I need to do about this?”
- Share a photo of a form and ask “what’s the deadline here?”
- Share a forwarded message and say “remind me to deal with this tomorrow.”
- Share a link with no note at all, just to park it somewhere you’ll actually come back to.
